This Privacy Notice explains how Boytorun Kimya Sanayi A.Ş. collects and uses personal data when you visit www.boydurm12.com or contact us about Boydur® M12. It is provided under Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) and, for visitors in the European Economic Area, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Who is responsible for your data

2. What personal data we collect

• Contact and enquiry data you provide through our forms, e-mail, telephone or WhatsApp: name, company, country, e-mail address, telephone number, enquiry type and the content of your message.
• Document request data: the technical documents you request and the details needed to send them to you.
• Business information you choose to share for partnership enquiries, such as territory, partner model, industries served and website.
• Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited and similar information collected through server logs and cookies.

We do not ask for special categories of personal data (such as health or biometric data) and ask you not to include them in your messages.

3. Why we use your data and our legal basis

• To respond to your enquiry, provide quotations, technical support and requested documents — necessary to take steps at your request before a contract (KVKK Art. 5/2(c); GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
• To evaluate and manage distributor and applicator partnerships and maintain business relationships — our legitimate interest in developing our international business (KVKK Art. 5/2(f); GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
• To operate, secure and improve the website — our legitimate interest (KVKK Art. 5/2(f); GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
• To comply with legal obligations, such as commercial and tax record-keeping or requests from authorities (KVKK Art. 5/2(ç); GDPR Art. 6(1)(c)).
• To send product news or marketing communications — only with your explicit consent, which you may withdraw at any time (KVKK Art. 5/1; GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)).

4. How long we keep your data

Enquiries that do not lead to a business relationship are kept for up to 2 years and then deleted or anonymised. Data relating to customers, distributors and transactions is kept for the duration of the relationship and for the statutory periods required by Turkish commercial and tax law (generally 10 years). Marketing consent records are kept until you withdraw consent.

5. Who we share your data with

• Service providers who support our website and communications, such as hosting, e-mail delivery, form-processing and messaging services. They process data only on our instructions.
• Authorised Boydur M12 distributors or applicators in your region, where this is needed to answer your enquiry or support your project.
• Professional advisers, auditors and public authorities where required by law or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

We do not sell your personal data.

6. International transfers

Some of our service providers, and some of our distributors, are located outside Türkiye or outside your country. Where personal data is transferred abroad, we do so in accordance with KVKK Article 9 and, where GDPR applies, Chapter V of the GDPR — for example by using standard contractual clauses or relying on the transfer being necessary to respond to your request.

7. How we protect your data

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections, access restrictions and secure storage, to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse.

8. Cookies

Our website uses cookies that are strictly necessary for it to work. Analytics and other non-essential cookies are used only if you accept them through the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time through the cookie settings link or your browser settings.

9. Your rights

Under KVKK Article 11 and, where applicable, the GDPR, you have the right to:

• learn whether your personal data is processed and request information about it;
• learn the purpose of processing and whether data is used accordingly;
• know the third parties in Türkiye or abroad to whom data is transferred;
• request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data;
• request deletion or destruction of your data, and notification of such corrections or deletions to recipients;
• object to a result against you arising exclusively from automated analysis;
• claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing;
• where GDPR applies, also request restriction of processing, data portability, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and withdraw consent at any time.

10. How to exercise your rights

Send your request by e-mail to info@boytorun.com with the subject “Personal Data Request”, or in writing to the address above. Please include your name, contact details and a description of your request; we may ask for information to verify your identity. We will respond free of charge within 30 days at the latest.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK) or, if you are in the European Economic Area, with your local data protection supervisory authority.

We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. The current version is always published on this page with its “last updated” date.
